Privacy Policy

Plain truth about what Glyph does with your data.

Glyph is a catalog of watch faces for Garmin Connect IQ devices. We designed these watch faces to do their job (show you the time and a few data points) without sending any of your personal data anywhere. This page explains exactly what data the watch faces read, what we keep, and what we share. The short version: we don't have servers, we don't store your data, we don't share anything with anyone.

What Glyph reads from your Garmin watch

Each Glyph watch face reads the following data from your watch's Connect IQ APIs in order to display them on screen:

• Current time and date, including your time zone and 12/24-hour preference.
• Heart rate from the watch's optical sensor (current value only).
• Step count and daily step goal from the activity tracker.
• Battery percentage of the watch.
• Active minutes, calories, floors climbed, body battery, stress (premium complications only, on devices that support them).
• Current weather temperature, supplied by Garmin Connect Mobile from your phone.
• Notification count and phone-connected state (counts only — never the contents of any message).

All of these are read on-device only and displayed on the watch face while it is active. None of them are stored, transmitted, or processed off the watch.

What Glyph stores

The only data Glyph stores is your personal preference settings for each watch face: which theme you've selected, which complications go in each slot, and whether you've unlocked the premium pack. These settings live in Garmin's own Application Storage on your watch and sync to your Garmin Connect account so the face remembers your preferences if you switch devices. We never see or store any of this.

What Glyph sends to the internet

Nothing. Glyph watch faces do not make network requests, do not connect to any external servers, and do not include analytics or tracking. The watch face runs entirely on your watch.

Premium purchases

The premium unlock for each watch face is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Garmin Pay through the Connect IQ Store. We don't see your payment details. Garmin notifies us (anonymously) that a purchase was made for a given app ID, and we receive the developer revenue share from Garmin. Refunds and disputes are handled by Garmin under their own terms.

Data we collect off the watch

If you sign up for the email waitlist on this site, we collect only the email address you give us, stored by our form provider. We use that email to send you exactly one message when the catalog launches and then delete it. We do not share email addresses with anyone.

Children's privacy

Glyph is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

If the watch faces ever need to add new data sources or any kind of off-device communication, we'll update this page and bump the "last updated" date. We won't add tracking, analytics, or third-party advertising — that's a hard line.
